ELITE SQUAD Character Bios

I hope you're enjoying Tom Clancy's Elite Squad. For me it was a labor of love. Tom Clancy's is a brand that I grew up with and still enjoy. I facilitated around 110+ of these, as the project's universe Development Director. Below, are a few of the bios that I have written. There are still many more. Play the game to read them all!

Aaron Keener

Aaron Keener

Aaron Keener believes he is the best of the best and indispensable. He is a master manipulator, who knows how to get people to do what he wants and make them think it was their idea. Secretly, he is terrified of being considered as irrelevant, and instead chooses to make himself notorious.

Now, Keener is one of Elite Squad’s most valuable assets. Whether in or out of battle, his unique talents can almost always ensure the success of the mission. Keener has accepted the team’s terms quicker than expected, and a surveillance team keeps a close eye on whether his allegiances are true or if this is another one of his manipulations.

Aisha Kubar

Aisha Kubar

Ruthless and cunning, Wolves protection specialist Aisha Kubar lives for the fight. Born in Aleppo, Syria, her parents both died tragically, sending her into hiding. She joined an all-woman fighting unit when she was 18 and gained notoriety when her unit worked alongside U.S. Special Forces. Kubar had established herself as a particularly efficient killer. One year later, she was given command of a seven-woman “kill-squad”, tasked with identifying and eliminating high value targets.

Kubar is a calculated and brutal killer, an ideal fit for Cole D. Walker’s Wolves. However, Elite Squad had serious reservations about Kubar on their team. Fortunately, her operational record boasts perfect mission success, and minimal losses to personnel. When presented with the mission to defeat ObtainR, Kubar took the assignment without a moment’s hesitation.

Alicia Diaz

Alicia Diaz

A living legend among the Ghosts, Diaz has earned her reputation as a dependable and deadly sniper many times over. Born with an insatiable sense of wanderlust, she joined the army in order to see the world, quickly taking to the life and proving herself elite. Patient and laser-focused, she remains cool and collected on the battlefield no matter the situation.

Socially reserved, Diaz will join in an activity but won’t instigate one. She volunteered for Elite Squad reluctantly, as much to serve as the Ghosts’ eyes and ears on the team as to confront the ObtainR threat. Diaz has precisely zero trust in the plan to recruit known criminals, and when one of them turns, she plans to be there to deal with it.

Anna Grímsdóttir

Anna Grimsdóttir

Quick thinking, and calm under fire, Anna Grimsdóttir started as a contract programmer for the Navy. She soon caught the attention of U.S. Army Col. Irving Lambert, who recruited her for the elite counterintelligence unit Third-Echelon.

Today, Grimsdóttir has advanced to Chief of Operations for the newly established Fourth-Echelon. Desperate times call for resolute measures, and by direct order from the President, she has grudgingly teamed up with Max Claymore and the Elite Squad initiative, loaning her combat expertise and technical wizardry to give strategic mission analysis in the field. Unfortunately, for their adversaries, recruiting Grimsdóttir to Elite Squad is comparable to deploying a tornado to blow out a match.

Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson

Raised in Santa Cruz with his youth spent lazing on a sun-drenched beach, at one time Brian Johnson felt passionate about becoming a professional surfer. That is, until one bad breakup led to a rash enlistment in the Navy. Seeing a natural transition from military to police, Johnson hung up his surfboard to join the Baltimore Police Department. He soon qualified for the local quick response team, taking on a role as a sharpshooter specialist.

It wasn’t long before his emergency response expertise caught the attention of the Strategic Homeland Division, where he would ultimately join waves of Agents into the Green Poison chaos in Washington, D.C.. Now, decades apart from his carefree surf life, Johnson has been seconded to Elite Squad’s crew of specialists, where he’s resolved to put the sun behind him if it means fighting for a brighter future.

Caleb Dunne

Caleb Dunne

A member of the Strategic Homeland Division, Caleb Dunne served as a combat medic specialist in the U.S. Army before becoming an emergency medical technician in New York City. Dunne’s extraordinary performance record has earned him a reputation as an elite Agent for the SHD. Known for his tenacity and drive, he has never quite reconciled being both a warrior and a medic.

After surviving the First Wave during the outbreak in N.Y.C. Dunne’s prepared for whatever danger lies ahead. His proven mix of survival specialist and medical expert are exactly what Elite Squad needs to boost the team’s combat readiness.

Charles Bliss

Charles Bliss

Self-aggrandizing and quick-tempered, Charles Bliss could never stomach orders from top military officials whose leadership he deemed inferior to his own. Bliss found greater fortune in private military. As a self-appointed Lt. Colonel, he finally had command of his own private army.

Obsessed with power and control, Bliss would ultimately lead the PMC to ruin. He’s been offered a presidential pardon for his crimes in exchange for his allegiance to Elite Squad, under the strict supervision of Sam Fisher and Fourth Echelon. Bliss has grudgingly agreed to help, but despite Fisher’s promise that stepping out of line will land him at the wrong end of a gun barrel, his ego won’t stay in check forever.

Cole Bowman

Cole Bowman

Raised in an Air Force family, First Lieutenant Cole Bowman spent more time with fighter planes than watching Saturday morning cartoons. Growing up with the military was not ideal for someone always searching to express himself creatively. Forever the outgoing showman, when he’s not in trouble for throwing rowdy parties on base, Cole livestreams popular tabletop roleplaying games, where he slyly tests tactical ideas against unsuspecting players.

At Langley, Cole’s teammates nicknamed him “Arrow”, as a knock against his trendy hairstyle, and it stuck. Despite the hair jokes, Cole’s natural leadership and gifted air combat skills are undeniable. When the firefight starts, Cole is a focused operator, both in the air and on the battlefield. Now that H.A.W.X. has teamed up with Elite Squad, Cole joins the fight against ObtainR. Cole doesn’t mind going back underground on clandestine business, though he does have some concerns about how this mission could affect his live subscriber count.

Cole D. Walker

Cole D. Walker

The merciless leader of a rogue unit called Wolves, Lt. Colonel Cole D. Walker is a highly trained and deadly opponent. Walker is an elite operator even amongst his peers. A former 101st Airborne, Delta Force team member, he’s broken every possible training record, graduated top of his class, and has survived countless missions. At one time Walker was a patriot, who fought tirelessly for his country. Feeling betrayed, he turned against the United States, renouncing it as a nation of divided fools.

Despite his grievances with America, Walker knows that joining forces with Nomad and Scott Mitchell is the only way to take down ObtainR. The team’s leaders have agreed to put aside their differences and work together, but it won’t be long before Walker’s predatory instinct puts him back on the prowl.

Coray Ward

Coray Ward, aka Weaver

Master Sergeant Coray Ward, aka Weaver, is known among his fellow Ghosts as the ‘scholar armed with a sniper rifle’. He speaks two languages, graduated magna cum laude from Princeton with a Doctorate in Psychotherapy and is an expert with almost any firearm. Weaver is as smart as they come and twice as deadly.

But it doesn’t take a degree for Weaver to understand a single bullet can turn a battle around. A deadeye sniper expertly trained to bring down enemies quietly and efficiently, a single bullet is often all Weaver needs to get the job done.

Curtis Bowman

Curtis Bowman

A rogue mercenary with a track record for apprehending dangerous criminals, Major Curtis Bowman is a skilled soldier who walks the line between darkness and light. A former US Air Force pilot who turned to the mercenary life after surviving a mountainside plane crash. Calling himself “Zeal”, Curtis is a self-styled, military dogmatist who lives by personal codes and believes himself to be a direct descendant of an ancient warrior monk. Curtis is unpredictable, a violent brawler, an elite ground operator, an expert fighter pilot, and a card-carrying spy who goes by multiple identities.

Recently, he has come under investigation for his questionable methods. Not coincidentally, Elite Squad has offered Curtis a shot at redemption if he chooses to fight on their side. He’s managed to stay on the correct side of the law so far and knows that turning down the offer could mean tipping the scales. Curtis isn’t ready for life on the run just yet, but he always considers it as a future possibility.

David Crenshaw

David Crenshaw

David Crenshaw has spent a lifetime in the air, piloting experimental fighter jets on high-stakes combat missions. A decorated member of the 16th fighter squadron, Crenshaw took command of the High-Altitude Warfare Experimental Squadron (aka. H.A.W.X.). A recipient of both the GWOT Service Medal and the Bronze Star, he risked life and limb to stop rogue PMC, Artemis Global Security, from carrying out nuclear attacks against the US mainland. After sustaining life-threatening injuries, the Air Force reassigned him to desk duty, but it didn’t stop Crenshaw from still leading H.A.W.X. from the ground.

These days, Crenshaw’s team is running routine surveillance missions, while training with off the record space fighters. When the order came to join with Elite Squad, Crenshaw had already been tracking ObtainR's whereabouts for months. Having worked closely in the past with Fourth Echelon and Ghost Recon, Crenshaw is no stranger to joint combat operations. His expertise at cutting down insurgent groups is crucial to the success of Elite Squad’s primary mission.

Hank Hua

Hank Hua

Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Hank Hua fought as a member of a rogue unit called Wolves. Seeing himself as an innovator on a new kind of battlefield, Hua shows an almost childlike excitement for cutting-edge military tech. The youngest member of his team, he hasn’t racked up the same body count as his fellow Trackers, and so they don’t quite respect him. Regardless, Hua is by far the most technically capable, and has mastered the use of autonomous killer drones to defeat opponents, aptly earning him the nickname “Flycatcher”.

Arrested for his crimes against the Auroa Archipelago Homesteaders, Elite Squad cut a deal with Hua, aiming to redirect his genius on combating the ObtainR theat. Thrilled about the team’s subculture of geek-soldiers and advanced technology, Hua immediately accepted the offer.

James Dorsman

James Dorsman

Loud and domineering, James Dorsman intimidates others to do his dirty work for him. Considering himself to be the “alpha dog”, he didn’t last long in the real military; instead, opting for more lucrative opportunities in the private sector.

Dorsman felt right at home with the elite yet impulsive, Last Man Battalion PMC. But when the LMB ship went down, Dorsman sank with the rest of the crew.

The chance to work alongside living legends like Scott Mitchell as part of the Elite Squad initiative appeals to Dorsman’s ego. He’s hungry to prove his superiority on the battlefield and show everyone what a real ‘elite’ operator looks like.

Kelsa Townsend

Kelsa Townsend

Future-minded technologist and gifted fighter pilot, Captain Kelsa Townsend leads the H.A.W.X. team’s advanced AI weapons division. The daughter of a truck driver, Townsend grew up in rural towns across the US. With aspirations of space travel from a young age, she eventually put herself through college via ROTC, and achieved degrees in engineering and biological science. Although she identifies more with computer geeks than guns, her drive to excel led her to qualify for special operations, where Townsend trained to be both a door-kicking ground operator and skilled fighter pilot wrapped up into one of the H.A.W.X. team’s top specialists.

After finally logging enough flight hours to qualify for astronaut training, Townsend is not thrilled about joining Elite Squad. However, she understands the high stakes of the mission, and knows that her expertise will give the team a much-needed combat edge. Townsend hopes that once the dust settles here on Earth, she can finally reach the stars.

Lucile Rose Keller

Lucile Rose Keller

As the Wolves team’s rebellious dead-eye sniper, Lucile Rose Keller doesn’t care which cause she’s fighting for, she just wants to win. After enlisting in the 82nd Airborne Division at the age of 18, she spent years honing her skills as a sniper. Her success in combat earned her rightful place on the Ghost team. But, after scoring a 3,600-meter cold-bore—the longest first round kills on record—Keller caught the attention of Cole D. Walker, and she was immediately recruited into the newly formed Wolves.

After her unit’s coup against the Auroa Archipelago Homesteaders was thwarted by the Ghosts, Keller was in serious trouble. Seeing her as an asset, Elite Squad has offered Keller a second chance to fight for them. She is drawn to the appeal of working with the world’s top specialists and considers fighting ObtainR as a chance to hone her skills and show them how deadly she can be.

Sarah Fisher

Sarah Fisher

A master at espionage and tactical infiltration, Sarah Fisher is the daughter of America’s top counterintelligence spy. Raised in U.S. military bases and safe houses around the world, Sarah was routinely faced with more crisis scenarios than most agents will see in a lifetime. Loyal to those lucky enough to be on her good side, when the mission starts, she’s a cunning and brutal field agent.

Sarah carefully safeguards her identity, mission, and whereabouts—especially from her dad. Determined to pursue her own path, Sarah trained under her uncle—and Sam Fisher’s closest friend—Victor Coste. After swearing to Sam that he’d never pull her into field work, Coste knows that there’ll be hell to pay the day Sam Fisher discovers his little girl excels at being a spy.

Takashi Sakai

Takashi Sakai

Reclusive aerospace engineer and fighter pilot, First Lieutenant Takashi “Tak” Sakai is responsible for the H.A.W.X. squadron’s R&D division. A natural problem solver and an adept at both aerial and ground combat techniques, Sakai has an ice-cold view of modern-day warfare, believing that enemy insurgents are nothing more than a technical glitch he can fix with the right tools.

Tipped off by a memo leak, Elite Squad learned about Sakai’s zero gravity weapon prototype, designed to “rain precision fire from the heavens”. Concerned about Sakai turning rogue scientist, they’ve requested his immediate transfer to the team. Sakai doesn’t mind joining Elite Squad as long as he’s left alone to finish his work. He has also theorized that he can find a solution to the world’s ObtainR problem, which is exactly what Max Claymore is counting on.

Tori Fairous

Tori Fairous

A formidable member of Rainbow Six, native Australian Tori Fairous is a decorated officer with the Special Air Service Regiment, and a genius mechanic. With a can-do Aussie attitude, Fairous has expertise on a range of weapons, intelligence gathering, and close protection. Yet, despite her military pedigree, Fairous’ first love is mechanical engineering; in particular working on engines, making battle robots, and building experimental tactical gadgets.

Fairous shies away from the limelight, and has turned down many promotions throughout her career. She initially rejected Elite Squad’s offer to join, claiming that there are far better operators for the mission. Despite her modesty, Fairous’ drive and propensity to take the lead, means that she’s exactly the right specialist to face off against ObtainR.
